This IMG activity allows you to maintain mapping between workflow status, application status and Information Worker status. Currently this is defined in the Global Definition component (under the setting type MDR_SCENARIOS). This Global Definition is not the most effective way to maintain this mapping, and this activity provides a more efficient alternative.

  • Workflow statuses are generic and have different meanings in different applications. Hence, a mapping between workflow status and application status is required.
  • Where the default workflow pattern is used in an application, a mapping between workflow status and Information Worker status is required.
  • Since application statuses are different, they are displayed differently in the Information Worker client and uniformity is lost. Therefore, mapping between application status and Information Worker status is required so that the Information Worker life-cycle status is clearly defined and all applications using the Workflow Pattern framework can adhere to this display of Information Worker status text and icon.

This activity allows you to maintain mapping between:

  • Workflow status and application status
  • Application status and Information Worker status
  • Workflow status and Information Worker status
