When the respective administrator enters the details on an accident, he or she must be able to access the HR personal data of the persons involved such as their name and address, and - in the cases of persons affected - also their time data. To create reports such as accident notifications, other HR data is required: social insurance number, marital status, nationality, and so on.

For employees and applicants, this data is managed in the SAP component Human Resources Management. As this data is of a sensitive nature, it is protected by a comprehensive authorization concept.

Data on persons who are not managed in Human Resources Management (external persons) is managed in the SAP Business Partner component.

As less information is stored in the SAP System for external persons and applicants in comparison to employees, only a reduced scope of data is available, for example, name, address, date of birth, marital status. Time data is not recorded.

To ensure that you have access to the required HR data, check the settings of the following authorization objects:

Check whether display authorizations are entered for the following infotypes:

  • HR: Master data - extended check (P_ORGXX)
Check whether the check by the authorization object HR:master data - extended check (P_ORGXX) is activated. P_ORGXX can be used in addition to or instead of the check by the authorization object HR: master data. In the standard system, the check is not active. For more information, see the documentation for P_ORGXX.
Check whether display authorization exists for the following infotypes:
0001,,Organizational assignment
0002,,Personal data
0006,,Addresses
Check whether the required authorizations exist for the following business partner roles (BP roles) (processing; possibly display only):
CBIH10,,External person
HEA010,,Physician
HEA030,,Health center (hospital)
Using this authorization object, you can set a special authorization check for individual field groups in the business partner dialog box.

You set the general authorizations for editing data in the incident/accident log in the authorization object C_EHSI_IAL (see Specify Authorizations).
