Define objects that can be assigned to the Impact Analysis Modeler.

In this Customizing activity, you define objects that can be assigned to the Impact Analysis Modeler. You can also define the attributes the object should display in the impact analysis chart in the Impact Analyzer.

In this Customizing activity, you can define the objects with their respective object sources. These objects become available in the Impact Analysis Modeler and users can create various business scenarios related to them.

  1. In the Object Configurationtable, enter the object details such as Typeand Object Description.
  2. Select the object source whether it is CDS Viewor SAP Object Type.
  3. Choose the Entity Name.

If the data source of your object is connected with SAP S/4HANA integration scenarios where object name is linked with the CDS views, then select SAP Object Type as your object source.

For example, for the object type Material, if you choose the data source as SAP Object Type, you will get a list of possible objects that are part of various business application areas in SAP S/4HANA integration. You can select your object from this list (E.g., Product).

Define Analyzer Field Mapping

During impact analysis, an impact analysis chart is created with the affected objects. You can define the attributes the object should display in the impact analysis chart using this Customizing activity.

  1. To define Analyzer Field Mapping, select the object from the Object Configurationtable and go to Analyzer Field Mappingsub view.
  2. Select the Analyzer Mapping Fieldfrom the list. You can choose your entry from the provided list.
  3. Select the Object Fieldthat you want to map with the Analyzer UI field.

Object ID is a mandatory field to identify an object. If the object requires multiple attributes for its identification, select more Object ID fields to map with the required object attributes.

For example, BOM requires Material, Bill of Material Variant, Category, and Version to identify the exact object. Therefore, you must utilize Object ID 2,3, 4, and 5 fields to map with these required attributes.
