You can maintain index values manually with this function in the system.

You can make new entries and/or change or delete existing entries. You can use the Copy as, Reverse change and Position functions to help you.

Before you can maintain an index value for the first time here, you must define the index in the Customizing of Treasury Basic Functions via Define index and define the index types via Define index type.

  1. In the view entitled Change Index Values (Securities Index): Overview, you see all previously entered index values in a 5 column table.
  2. To change an existing value, you can overwrite the field contents, 'Index value' and 'Origin'.
  3. To quickly access the value to be changed, you can use the Position function. Enter the security index you are looking for, the index type and the price date. The index value you are looking for goes to the start of the list.
  4. To delete an entry, select it and press the Delete button.
  5. To make an entry, press the corresponding button. You can now maintain values by making the following entries:
    1. Selection of index.
    2. Selection of index type.
    3. Price date.
    4. Index value.
  6. Selection of origin (manual).
  7. You can use the Copy as function from the initial screen to make a new entry by using an existing entry as a template. You then only have to make the changes manually.
  8. If you wish to reverse a change, choose Reverse change.
  9. Save the changed data.
