SAP E-Book

This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the object navigator of the following SAP Portfolio and Project Management objects:

  • Project
  • Phase
  • Task
  • Item
  • Initiative

You can specify special dates as start and finish for the objects within the object navigator.

Depending on the object, the following dates are possible:

  • Project: Calculated start or finish, fixed start or finish, forecasted start or finish
  • Phase: Calculated early start or finish, calculated late start or finish, fixed start or finish, forecasted start or finish
  • Task: Calculated early start or finish, calculated early start or finish, fixed start or finish, forecasted start or finish
  • Item: Actual start or finish, planned start or finish, forecasted start or finish
  • Initiative: Actual start or finish, planned start or finish, forecasted start or finish

To specify new dates, you have to deactivate the code lines for the current default dates and activate the two new code lines for the new dates. Do not change other code in the BAdI.

The BAdI contains the following default settings:

  • Project: Calculated start or finish
  • Phase: Earliest start or latest finish
  • Task: Earliest start or latest finish
  • Item: Planned start or finish
  • Initiative: Planned start or finish

For more information about the standard settings (filters, single or multiple uses), see the Enh. Spot Element Definitions tab in the BAdI Builder (transaction SE18).

For information about the implementation of BAdIs in the context of the Enhancement Concept, see SAP Library for SAP NetWeaver under BAdIs - Embedding in the Enhancement Framework.
