This section explains how to adapt general SAP user status management to your requirements.

The user status management for orders and operations has an impact on both the CMC tree list display and the calculations in ROC/Prioritizing.

The CMC user status Customizing is a three step procedure:

  • Maintain CMC User Status Group
Determines all possible CMC user status folders that can be displayed in the order hierarchy (such as Delayed or work in process - WIP); and the sequence in which they are displayed. Some groups, such as those containing user statuses for delays or for work in progress (WIP) influence the internal CMC calculations. For example the work in progress (WIP) and external rework indicators determine which orders the CMC considers as valid receipts when calculating the overall available quantity of serviceable stock for both range of coverage (ROC) and serviceable stock-based priority calculation. However, this is only valid if you have selected the Include WIP indicator in the CMC profile.
  • Maintain CMC User Status Profile
Determines the user status profile to which you assign standard user statuses. You must define a CMC status profile and assign a standard status profile to it. It is important to distinguish between the standard status profile, which controls the valid user statuses and the CMC status profile, which controls the grouping and sorting of individual user statuses.
  • Maintain CMC User Status Hierarchy
Determines the CMC status groups to be displayed in the CMC order hierarchy and the individual standard user statuses to be included in each group. For example, you may only want to see WIP in one profile and so on.
  1. Create a new user status group by choosing a new entry or copying an existing one.
  2. Select the new line and choose Maintain User Status Profile.
  3. Enter your data.
  4. Select the new line and choose Maintain User Status Hierarchy.
  5. Enter your data.
  6. Save your entries.
