In this IMG activity you enable the creation of clinical orders by third party systems (external business partners). You can potentially offer different services for different order types.

To enable 3rd party systems to create clinical orders in i.s.h.med, you will generally require two entries:

  • In the definition of the order type you must enter a business partner as initiator on the Initiator tab page.
  • In the definition of the order type you must enter a service (from the range of previously defined services for connectivity) on the Connectivity tab page, which is used to create the order.

Note:

When a clinical order is created by a 3rd party system, the system makes all checks, which also apply during creation within i.s.h.med. You must therefore ensure that assigned web services satisfy the additional checks concerning status-dependent required entry field properties as well as those checks made additionally in Business Add-Ins (BAdIs). This means that, for example, a required entry field determined in the order type must either be included in the web service interface (and defined as a required entry field) or it must be preset in the implementation of the web service.

For the definitions in this IMG activity you must first satisfy the following prerequisites:

  • The business partner must be created.
  • The web service must be created and defined as a Connectivity service in i.s.h.med.
