ISHMED_DOC_TRANSPORT - Transport Document Categories

You wish to transport document categories between systems. The definition elements belonging to the document category are first packed into the installation package.

Transport by key (TABU) is available for transporting within your system landscape.

Transport via BC set is also available for transporting beyond the borders of your system landscape.

You can export the installation packages into the file system as files using the Download to File System function.

Start the transaction N2PMD_TWB and select the tab page Pack and Export.

Transporting document categories

If you wish to transport document categories, you should proceed as follows:

1. In the "Document Categories" area select the Load Document Categories pushbutton, to receive a list of all document categories which exist on your clients. From this list you select any number of document categories.

Select Install. PackageThe definition elements of the selected document categories are packed into the installation package. The created installation packages are displayed as a list "Installation Packages" area.

Alternative:

Select Install. Packages, to display all installation packages which exist on your system.

1. Select all installation packages which you wish to transport.

• Select By Key (TABU), if you wish to transport within the system landscape.

• Select By BC Set or By Key (TABU) to transport across systems. We recommend transport by BC set.

Transporting SAP objects

The "SAP Options" area provides the possibility of individually transporting document categories outside of regular transports. We recommend that you only use this function in special cases. You can assign elements which were stored in the $temp package to a transportable package.

1. In the "Document Categories" area select the Load Document Categories pushbutton, to receive a list of all document categories which exist on your clients. From this list you select any number of document categories. Select Display Repository Objects. The system lists all objects belonging to the document categories.
2. Elements which are stored locally in your $temp package cannot be transported. To assign these elements to a transportable package, select Move Local Objects.

A window opens where you can enter the name of the transportable package.

1. Select the objects to be transported and select Transport SAP Objects.
