When saving an admission or a visit, i.s.h.med determines all caseless clinical orders, service requests, and provisional appointments for the current patient, so that they can be linked with the case of the admission or visit.

The function exit EXIT_SAPLN1OK_001 allows the classification of these caseless objects as:

  • Objects which should not be linked to the case
  • Objects which should automatically be linked to the case
  • Objects which should be offered to the user in a selection box. The user decides whether these objects should be assigned to the case.

Interaction with BAdI ISHMED_SEL_FOR_FALLB

The Business Add-In (BAdI) ISHMED_SEL_FOR_FALLB runs after the function exit EXIT_SAPLN1OK_001. The BAdI allows you to determine the number of objects in the selection box and preselect specific objects in the selection box.

As standard, the system will automatically assign the objects to the case for which you create the admission or visit.

The appearance of the dialog box depends on the setting of the OU-related parameter N1VKCHKFAL.

When you execute this activity, you will branch to the project management of SAP enhancements (transaction CMOD). If necessary, you create a new project and assign the enhancement SAPLN1OK to the project.

You can find further documentation in the SAP enhancement SAPLN1OK.

Outpatients are admitted decentrally in the individual clinics. In each admitting facility, you wish to be able to assign only the clinical orders and appointments of the clinic which belongs to the admitting facility. Orders and appointments which do not belong the clinic should remain caseless.
