ISHMED_ME_DEFDRUGS - Manage Mixed Drugs for Presetting

In this IMG activity you determine the drugs which should be used when one of the following functions is called from the order or from a view of the Medication Orders view type in the clinical work station:

• Create infusion

• Create compound

• Create nutritional solution

You should note that it is sufficient to determine only one drug per specified drug category. In case of compounds you can determine two templates, for example to differentiate between liquid compounds (with the reference unit milliliters) and substances (with the reference unit milligrams).

You should only use changeable, actively saved drugs as templates.

You create the VARIABLE INFUSION drug as a template. In the order dialog you call the Create Infusion function. In the drug search you select all ingredients which you wish to order in the infusion. Once you have transferred the drugs in the order dialog the system automatically presets the VARIABLE INFUSION drug as the drug to be administered.
