In this IMG activity you define the external status for the internal event status. The internal status enables the status management of events. As with the order status, you can determine the external status for an internal event status here. You should note that only the internal status 'In Processing' can have several external statuses.

You can define different external event status names depending on the event type. You set the event type using the indicators:

  • A = Administration
  • D = Dispensing
  • P = Prescription printing

The following internal statuses are available:

  • Saved: The event is in initial status and not yet confirmed, it cannot yet be administered.
  • Confirmed: The user can either manually confirm the event or the system automatically confirms the status when the user activates the order. The event can be administered.
  • In Processing: This status can have several external statuses (e.g. taken from pharmacy, delivered to care unit, prepared, etc.). As a result you can implement different workflows.
  • Administered: The system sets this status when the event is administered. The user can then document the administration of the drug. The documentation fields remain ready for input which is particularly useful when documenting long-term infusions.
  • Canceled: If the user cancels an event, the system will also cancel all dependent objects.
  • Ended: This is the end status of an event. The user can no longer document the event once this status has been set.

You can customize the internal Administered status depending on the event types as follows:

  • Administered: For an administration event
  • Dispensed: For a dispensing event
  • Printed: For a printing event
