SAP E-Book

This document concerns nursing complex procedure scores (German: PKMS), which are relevant for the country version Germany only. The automatic generation of OPS codes from PKMS scores is based on a procedure rule, which accesses existing services which the system has saved in table NLEI for the patient case. The corresponding services which the system generates must therefore also be saved in the service master data.

In the SAP standard service master records are intended for the generation of PKMS services such as, for example:

LNR KEBEZL KATNR GVON GBIS EINH EART
L-A PKMS personal hygiene 1 01.01.2010 31.12.9999 PKT B
L-PKMS PKMS summary service 1 01.01.2010 31.12.9999 PKT

Execute the following activities:

  1. Check whether the services listed above exist in the service master data.
  2. If this is not the case, you must execute parameterization with this IMG activity.
Where possible you should adhere to the preset values published by SAP in note number 1517181 in October 2010 and the standard settings found in the "Use" section.
You must create exactly one service master record for each PKMS nursing category. The following data must be identified for this service master record:
  1. Service number (LNR)
  2. Short description of service (KEBEZL)
  3. Catalog number (KATNR)
  4. Valid from (GVON)
  5. Valid to (GBIS)
  6. Unit (Other tab page, Object Type group box) (EINH)
  7. Performance mode (Other tab page, Object Type group box) (EART)
You should note that the system controls the assignment to the nursing category using the Performance Mode field. SAP have introduced new performance modes for PKMS determination, for example, "B", "C". Each of these performance modes represents exactly one PKMS nursing category. In order for the PKMS values to be determined correctly later, it is essential that you allocate each performance mode precisely once.
You must also create exactly one service summary record. The service summary record requires exactly the same data as the service master records of the nursing categories. However, the performance mode is not required.
