In this step, you define the control chart types specific to IS-HT-MES functions. For each control chart type , you define the requirements based on the control indicators and sampling procedures used in the inspection characteristic. This is a two-step process.

In the first step you will define the following control chart types:

  • C10 C-chart for inspection points
  • P10 P-chart for inspection points
  • U10 U-chart
  • Y-20 Yield loss by equipment for insp. points

In a second step, you will define the control chart tracks. For each track, determine which control variable is used and how the warning limits or action limits are calculated.

A number of common control charts have already been defined in the standard system. Appropriate control indicators and parameters have been set for these control charts, so the system can calculate the control limits.

The table has the delivery class G. The following name range is reserved for the user:

Control chart type 9*, A*, ... , Z*

Define the control chart types as follows:

Control Chart Type C10

  • Name = c-chart for inspection points
  • Reference Axis = Time of inspection
  • Interval = 0
  • No. Range No. = 01
  • Characteristic Type
  • Multiple samples

  • Name of Module = /SAPHT/SPC_STANDARD_CHART_40

Control Chart Type P10

  • Name = p-chart for inspection points
  • Reference Axis = Time of inspection
  • Interval = 0
  • No. Range No. = 01
  • Characteristic Types
  • Multiple samples

  • Scp. not fixed

  • Name of Module = /SAPHT/SPC_VARYLIM_TRUNCATE_01

Control Chart Type U-10

  • Name = u-chart
  • Reference Axis = Time of inspection
  • Interval = 0
  • No. Range No. = 01
  • Characteristic Types
  • Multiple samples

  • Scp. not fixed

  • Name of Module = /SAPHT/SPC_VARYLIM_TRUNCATE_0

Control Chart Type Y20

  • Name = Yield loss by equipment for insp. points
  • Reference Axis = Time of inspection
  • Interval = 0
  • No. Range No. = 01
  • Characteristic Types
  • Confirm Values

  • Multiple samples

  • Scp. not fixed

  • Name of Module = /SAPHT/SPC_VARYLIM

Define the Control Chart Tracks as follows:

For Control Chart C10

  • Control Chart Track = 1
  • Title = Defects
  • Name of Module = /SAPHT/SPC_C_SHEWHART_40
  • Parameter 1 = 3.0000
  • Parameter 2 = 0.0000
  • Parameter 3 = 0.0000
  • Parameter 4 = 20.0000
  • Settings = no limits

For Control Chart P10

  • Control Chart Track = 1
  • Title = Fraction nonconforming
  • Name of Module = /SAPHT/SPC_P_CHART_VARYLIM
  • Parameter 1 = 3.0000
  • Parameter 2 = 0.0000
  • Parameter 3 = 0.0000
  • Parameter 4 = 20.0000
  • Settings = no limits

For Control Chart U10

  • Control Chart Track = 1
  • Title = Nonconformities per unit
  • Name of Module = /SAPHT/SPC_U_CHART_VARYLIM
  • Parameter 1 = 3.0000
  • Parameter 2 = 0.0000
  • Parameter 3 = 0.0000
  • Parameter 4 = 20.0000
  • Settings = no limits

For Control Chart Y20

  • Control Chart Track = 1
  • Title = Normalized yield loss
  • Name of Module = /SAPHT/SPC_YLD_LOSS_EQ_VARYLIM
  • Parameter 1 = 3.0000
  • Parameter 2 = 0.0000
  • Parameter 3 = 97.0000
  • Parameter 4 = 0.0000
  • Settings = no limits

  1. Create new control chart types.
  2. Define the control chart tracks for the control chart types.
  3. Save.

The system can display examples of the control charts, so you can check the format in which they are displayed.
