This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the component SAP Patient Management (IS-H-PM).

You can use this BAdI to influence the search variants used in the appointment search and to adjust or modify them. The search variant contains the parameters that are used to control and execute the appointment search. This means the search variant forms the basis for the result of the appointment search process. You can therefore directly influence the result of the appointment search process according to your own requirements by using this BAdI to adjust the parameters.

  • In the standard system, there is no activated BAdI implementation. The standard code is executed automatically.
  • This is a multiple-use Business Add-In.
  • The BAdI is filter-dependent. The relevant country version of SAP Patient Management serves as the filter. This gives you the option of only activating the BAdI implementation for use in a specific country version.
  • The standard system contains a sample implementation, which you can use as a template to create implementations of your own.

The BAdI implementation is instantiated according to the context. This means the system always uses the same implementation for each internal mode and for each call.

For information about the implementation of BAdIs in the context of the Enhancement Concept, see SAP Library for SAP NetWeaver under BAdIs - Embedding in the Enhancement Framework.

In the service-based appointment search, the system proposes an appointment for each service when searching for several services. If you only want the system to propose one appointment for several services, you can modify the search variant accordingly using this BAdI. The existing sample implementation illustrates this function.
