This IMG activity is only necessary if you wish to preregister patients for a surgery/treatment appointment and are using IS-H without IS-H*MED.

When you preregister a patient for a surgery/treatment appointment, the preregistration internally creates a service for the patient. This service is only needed for technical reasons and does not appear in the preregistration dialog.

You store the code for this service in the Customizing parameter N1PRGSRV.

The system saves the service with a status. To do this, it requires the short text and text for the status.

Note:

  • If you use IS-H*MED Service Management, you have already set up the service statuses in your system.
  • If you implement IS-H*MED at a future date, all of the preregistered services already in your system appear in IS-H*MED with the status texts you define here.

The system predefines the number of statuses, but not their short texts or descriptive texts.

Statuses with the following internal keys are necessary to enter a preregistration for a surgery/treatment appointment:

  • UA
  • ST
  • DI

Proceed as follows:

  • Enter the institution in the Inst field.
  • Enter a short description for the status in the first Sta field.
  • In the second Sta field, select the internal key UA, ST, or DI from the predefined statuses.
  • Enter the text for the status in the SvceStatus field.

Patients who are preregistered for a surgery/treatment appointment should be managed with a service that has the status Provisional.

For this purpose, enter the short description PRO and the text Provisional for the status with the internal key UA.
