SAP E-Book

In this Customizing activity, you can deactivate logging for a particular context (such as institution, object ID, subobject ID, framework parameter, transaction, program ID, or access type). You can also add new transactions that are not delivered by SAP.

You have to take care to maintain appropriate values for the context so that it is correct from a business perspective. The logging framework will not validate whether an entry made here is correct from a business perspective. For example, it is possible to maintain 'maintain' access entries for patient master data in the clinical work station (NWP1) which is not correct from a business perspective. The logs will show these entries even though it is not correct from a business perspective.

The parameters of this activity involve the following:

  • Object ID for sensitive objects
  • Subobject ID for sensitive subobjects
  • Transaction code
This can be either an SAP-delivered transaction code or your own customer-specific transaction code.
  • Program ID
This can be either an SAP-delivered program ID or your own customer-specific program ID.
  • Framework parameter
This parameter is used for the Clinical Process Builder (NV2000 - NV2008), clinical work station (NWP1), documentation work station (accessed using NWP1), and print forms, and could be one of the following:
  • Clinical Process Builder (NV2000 - NV2008): Either the FCode or view IDs of subscreens

  • Clinical Work Station (NWP1): The view type

  • Document work station (Accessed via NWP1): Either the base item or the outpatient task template

  • Print forms: The work organizer type

For more information, see Customizing for SAP Healthcare - Industry-Specific Components for Hospitals under Tools -> Access Logging -> Extended Maintenance of Access Logging -> Maintain Context for Access Logging.
  • Access type
The access types that can be selected are as follows:
  • 02: Maintain

  • 03: Display

  • 06: Denied

  • Inactive indicator
If this indicator is selected, the context (such as institution, object ID, subobject ID, transaction, program ID, or access type) is de-activated and will not be logged. If this indicator is deselected, logging will be performed.
Note: You can also add new customer-specific contexts.

We deliver standard object IDs and subobject IDs. For a full list of the delivered object IDs and subobject IDs, see Customizing for SAP Healthcare - Industry-Specific Components for Hospitals under Tools -> Access Logging -> Extended Maintenance of Access Logging -> Maintain Objects for Which Logging is Required.
