In this Customizing activity, you can define surgery types, which can be used as free classification attributes when maintaining surgery visits.

Country version Singapore: The surgery type is used to classify the nature of the operation for billing purposes. You can only enter the predefined values from the catalog for the EDI communication procedure.

Country version Switzerland: In addition to the surgery type, Customizing settings are required for "external outpatient treatment". This field indicates whether the outpatient treatment took place externally. This information is required for the "PRISMA" statistics (Patient Record in Somatics (Canton Zurich)) and the medical statistics for hospitals, BFS, which apply from 2009.

Values:

  • 1 = Own hospital site, different company
  • 2 = Outside own hospital site, same company
  • 3 = Outside own hospital site, different company
  • 9 = Unknown
  • Blank = Not applicable

In the above, "same company" means "same company registration number" (BUR).
