In this IMG activity, you define the case categorizations that are used for determining the FALCL characteristic for the transfer of data from the IS-H System into the Executive Information System (EC-EIS) and SAP BW.

To be able to transfer data from IS-H into EC-EIS, you have to perform a number of preliminary activities in Customizing for EC-EIS. For more information about this, refer to Make Settings in EC-EIS.

The case categorization table (TNFCL) is delivered without predefined entries in the IS-H standard system.

Here you can define the values for case categorization and the short and long texts that are to be used in the BW and EIS reports. The table functions as a check table for the characteristic FALCL for SAP BW and EC-EIS.

Store these keys in table TNFCL as specified below. You can specify different short and long texts for each institution.

Case Categorization - Text (proposal for long text)

  • BF - Budget case
  • BG - Case with FR(s), MLS overrun and procedures surcharge(s)
  • BI - Case with FR(s), MLS overrun intensive care and procedures surcharge(s)
  • FG - Case with FR(s) and MLS overrun
  • FI - Case with FR(s) and MLS overrun intensive care
  • FB - Case with FR(s) and MLS overrun main department/intensive care
  • BB - Case with FR(s) and MLS overrun main department/intensive care, procedures surcharge(s)
  • FP - Flat rate case
  • SE - Case with procedures surcharge(s)
  • FS - Case with flat rate(s) and procedures surcharge(s)
  • E1 - Case with case categorization as itemized in E1-plus
  • 31 - Case with case-related charge as itemized in §6 Hospital Charges Law (output in E3.1 statistics).
  • 33 - Case with day-related charge as itemized in §6 Hospital Charges Law (output in E3.1 statistics).
  • WK - Case that is part of readmission case chain, but is not relevant for billing.
