In this IMG activity, you define the number ranges for insurance objects.

You then assign the defined number ranges to insurance object categories in the Configure IO Categories and Assign Number Ranges activity.

The number ranges are valid on a cross-client basis.

The SAP standard delivery contains number ranges for the delivered insurance object categories.

For insurance objects, which are transferred from external systems with the same number, you need to define number ranges with external number assignment.

  1. Check and change the delivered number ranges where appropriate.
  2. Define new numbers if required.

To transport number range objects, select Interval -> Transport from the initial screen for this activity.

Note that all intervals for the selected number range object are first deleted in the target system, so that only the exported intervals are available after the import. The current number levels are imported with the value that they have at the time of export.

Dependent tables are not transported or converted.
