You can assign a status and an alert category to the messages in order generation.
If you assign a status to a message, the message is assigned this status each time it occurs. You can evaluate the status in the order generation log, as well as in shipping planning in Series Sales and Distribution.
The system issues alerts to actively inform you when errors occur. You can also assign an alert category to a message. The system then generates an alert in the Alert Framework each time the message occurs. Alerts can be sent to an e-mail address or to a mobile number as a text message. For example, if an RFC problem arises during order creation, you can assign an alert category to the corresponding message. This means the system administrator can be informed of the error automatically.
