In this step, you define which clients are to be regarded as the slave clients in the postal change service.

Postal units can only be maintained in the postal client. The postal client is defined under Maintain general IS-M control parameters. To ensure that changed postal units are consistent with those in other clients, the System generates a change number in each dependent (slave) client when the structures are updated as part of the postal change service. You can use this change number to update the structures and addresses in the relevant slave client.

Client 400 is defined as the postal client. You enter clients 410 and 420 as slave clients for the postal change service. When the structures are updated in the postal client, the System automatically creates a change number (as a copy of the change number from the postal client 400) in each of the two slave clients. You use these change numbers to update the structures and addresses in the slave clients 410 and 420.

It is advisable to enter all clients in the table of slave clients for the postal change service since the structures and addresses cannot be updated after the postal data has been changed in clients not listed here.

Enter the slave clients in which structures and addresses are to be updated along with the postal change service.
