In this step, you define the variants of the IAC Change Access Data for Internet User.

Before you can make these settings, you must perform the step Identify and Check Business Partners in the section 'Internet Application Components'.

Maintain the data required under a key of your choice:

  • Specify a description for the variant. This description allows you to identify the variant more easily and does not have any effect on processing. For example, the description might give a general indication of the process covered by the variant.
  • Choose the setting for identifying and checking business partners. To do this, specify a combination maintained in the corresponding Customizing activity, represented by your key. This determines where logon is to take place (on the logon screen or on the form for creating the Internet user) and which fields are to be used.
  • In the field Password / Access Data, specify whether the customer is to choose their password themselves or whether it is to be generated by the system. In the latter case, you can also display the password for the customer on the confirmation screen or send it to them by e-mail (if you choose this option, the field 'E-Mail' becomes a required field).
  • Specify an initial country. This entry is used principally to create a 'domestic' variant of this attribute, allowing you, for example, to set a filter on the selection field for the region or federal state.
  • If applicable, specify how the connection between the IAC and a CRM e-mail campaign is to be set up. For further information on the possible settings, please see the documentation on the field IAC-CRM Mail Connection.
  • Specify whether or not a log record is to be created when an Internet user's access data is changed by the IAC.

The URL for accessing the Internet application must be as follows:

http://.../scripts/wgate.dll/jgwwwiu2/!?okcode=strt&key_access=w1

Please replace the variable w1 with the key you chose for the entry defined in this step.
