In this IMG activity, you define the substructures for Sales Quantity Planning. The substructures are required for defining the quantity planning views. The definition of a substructure specifies which quantity fields can be used in a quantity planning view. Create a substructure for all the applications you use. This allows you to restrict the quantity fields in a structure for each application. Please note that it is only possible to define one substructure for certain applications.
The applications and structures should be defined for Sales Quantity Planning.
To define a substructure for Sales Quantity Planning, please proceed as follows:
- Enter an alphanumeric key and an explanatory name for the substructure.
- Specify the application in Sales Quantity Planning in which a substructure can be used.
- Define the quantity fields in a substructure. You can only use the quantity fields that are defined in the structure assigned.
- If you want to use a field label in the substructure that differs from the one used in the structure, assign a data element. The system determines the field label from this data element when compiling the quantity planning view. If there is no data element defined in a substructure for a quantity field, the system determines the field labels from the data element for the quantity field in the structure assigned.
