ISM_WERKZPOSTAKTDE1 - Generate Change Records for Postal Data Update

In this step, you execute the update program for German postal data.

The program compares the postal units already in the system with those from the CD General Postal Data provided by the German postal service and creates a change record for each change determined.

The data is released to the operative system via change management. In order to do this, you must create a change number in advance and then specify it on the selection screen for the program.

You should install the individual versions of the General Postal Data CD successfully and not skip a version if this is at all possible.

1. Specify the following general data on the selection screen:
1. Country (default setting is DE)
2. Commit counter (number of records after which a database commit is to take place)
3. Code page source and code page destination (SAP character sets)
2. Enter the following specific data:
1. Logical file name
2. Version number of General Postal Data
3. Change number to be used to check and release the change records.
