ISPAM_GPHITYP - Define Business Partner Hierarchy Types (IS-M/AM)

In this step you maintain the business partner hierarchy types.

When maintaining business partner hierarchies in Advertising Management, you should assign one of the defined hierarchy types.

Business partner hierarchies of a certain type can be used in several sales areas. You can also use the hierarchy type to separate business partner hierarchies according to sales areas.

Business partner hierarchies can also be edited using business partner relationships. To maintain the business partner hierarchy as a business partner relationship, assign a key for a new relationship type to the hierarchy type and define descriptions from the perspective of business partner 1 and business partner 2. The system then generates the relationship type automatically when you save.

1. Check whether you require business partner hierarchies in your particular area.
2. To create a new hierarchy type, you should enter a one character alphanumeric key and a corresponding long/short text.

You must maintain the hierarchy type for each sales area.
