In this IMG activity you can copy application classes from one client to another (within a system) or transport them from one system to another. Note that you can only transport out of one Customizing client. For information on the functions of the program, see the program documentation.

There are different implementing classes available in each application class, depending on which information is relevant for the tax type.

SAP provides three templates for application classes that map different tax types:

• TRM_TEMPLATE_FORM for form-based taxes

• TRM_TEMPLATE_OBJECT for object-based taxes

• TRM_TEMPLATE_OBJECT_TIME for object-based taxes with time-dependent data
  

Note:

For object-based taxes, the tax obligation is justified by an object (such as vehicle tax). Taxes for which a taxpayer must file a tax return (such as income tax) are classed as form-based taxes.

We recommend that you copy the templates and then adjust them to suit the requirements of your organization. This ensures that all relevant implementing classes are available in your application class.
