You can use this activity to adjust the general status management to suit your requirements.

Define status profile for application status

You can use this activity to create Status schemas for your own status (application status). You can define the following in the status schema:

  • You define user status and document their functions in the short or long text. You can create one or more user statuses in a status schema.
  • You define in which order the user status should run. This is determined by the sequence number. If you do not assign a sequence number to an application status, this status can always be set. However, it can only ever be an application status with an active sequence number. If you assign a sequence number to a user status, you must also assign a lowest and highest sequence number. These restrict the sequence number interval from which the subsequent user status can be selected.
  • You assign the status schema to your own application customizing data.
  • You define the initial status that is activated automatically when you create the object.
  • You define via Go to -> Transaction control
  • which user status is activated automatically when performing a business transaction

  • which business transactions are allowed or forbidden when a certain status is active

  • You can define one of the transactions performed by the user status in the status schema, with the result that one or more systems and/or user statuses can be set or deleted.

Define your user status schema and then assign it to the form-based process by using Maintain Configuration for Form-Based Processes.
