ISPSD_BASPVASTATGRP - Define Edition Statistics Groups

In this step, you define the statistics groups that can be used for the assignment of the individual editions.

Statistics groups are assigned to editions during maintenance of the edition master record (screen 'General Data 2').

The standard system contains the following statistics groups:

• blank statistics group ('no update')

• statistics group '1' ('editions relevant for update')

The standard distinction 'Update of key figures for edition required/not required' is usually sufficient:

To update the key figures for the edition, you simply need to ensure that statistics group '1' is assigned to the edition.

If an edition is assigned to the blank statistics group, there is no update of the key figures in the Media Information System for this edition.

1. Define which groups of editions are to influence the statistics update.
2. To define the statistics groups, please proceed as follows:
1. Enter a one-character alphanumeric key in field S (Edition statistics group).
2. Specify an explanatory text for the statistics group in the fields Short text and Long text.
3. Ensure that the statistics groups are entered in the editions.

You can check the settings you make in this step when customizing the Media Information System.
