In this step, you define the number intervals for the number range for synchronizing the product and bookings when using the Media Sales and Distribution and Advertising Management components together.

When you create or delete issues or change the actual issue variant type, the system creates a worklist under a unique key for these issues.

You can only use an internal number range interval to assign these keys. The system automatically assigns the worklist a sequence number from the internal number range specified.

Synchronization of booking data takes place by means of report RJJCHKPE based on the worklist (see the report documentation and the release note Synchronization Comparison to Update Production Units.

The standard setting is "00000001 to 99999999".

You are advised not to change the standard setting.

To define a number range, you must define a number interval (or several number intervals). To do this, please proceed as follows:

  1. Specify an alphanumeric key of up to 2 characters for each number interval.
  2. Specify the limits of the number interval in the From number and To number fields.
The individual number intervals should not overlap. A number can only be used once in each number range.

You can define the usage of number range intervals for the number range object ISP_VASYNC in the step Define number range usage in the section 'Basic Settings'.
