In this step, you define the menu structure for master data maintenance (for maintaining the condition records) for each application.

The menu for maintaining output master data is defined by the following data:

  • Name of application
The name text cannot be changed. It is used as a header for the menu for maintaining the condition and output master data.
  • Definition of condition classes
Here, you define which condition classes appear on the initial screen for maintaining condition and output master data.
A condition class describes a group of conditions, for example gross purchase prices, net purchase prices, surcharges, discounts, taxes etc.
  • Assignment of condition types
Here, you assign the condition type and condition or output table to each condition. You can control the order of the conditions within the determination procedure by specifying the level number.

In the standard system, the master data menu is set up according to the standard pricing elements.

If you define new pricing elements or do not require some of the standard pricing elements, you should modify the menu accordingly.

  1. Select the desired application.
  2. Click Define condition classes and specify the condition classes for the initial screen in the maintenance menu for conditions.
  3. Select each condition class and click Assign condition types.
  4. Add new assignments if required and delete those you do not require.
  5. Specify the level number (order) of the condition.

The standard output types (=condition types) are named according to the following naming conventions:

  1. Character:
"K" = order, "N" = research, "F" = billing, "L" = settlement, "V" = shipping problem message, "G" = address change, "S" = structure change
  1. Character:
"D" = printout, "M" = mail, "F" = fax
  1. And 4th character:
No convention
