In this step, you define the access sequences for condition types. The access sequence is a strategy with which the system searches for valid condition records for a condition type.

When determining the settlement condition, the system first searches for remuneration per unit and then for lump sum remuneration.

  • If you define your own access sequences, the keys should begin with the letter Z, since this name range is reserved in the standard system.
  • You are advised not to change the standard access sequences.
  1. Check whether you can use the standard access sequences as they are.
  2. To create new access sequences, please proceed as follows:
  • Copy a similar access sequence as a template.

  • Specify an alphanumeric key of up to 4 characters for the new access sequence.

  • Enter a text.

  1. Define priority for the different accesses by specifying the condition tables in the desired order. To do this, you can also use the possible entries function (F4) to display the defined combinations of key fields.
  2. As of release 3.0, you no longer need to generate the accesses as this is performed automatically. However, you can still carry out generation manually for particular objects using the 'Utilities' pushbutton.

You also have the following option:

  • To improve performance, you can streamline access to a condition type. The system then only checks the header fields in the document when searching for condition records.
