In this step, you define the keys for the possible delivery rounds.

The delivery round controls the time at which delivery takes place during the day (e.g. morning round, evening round). This is done by linking the following objects with the corresponding delivery round:

  • Delivery viability set (required entry to specify delivery viability set in carrier route or geographical unit)
  • Carrier and field collector (e.g. carrier 1 performs the morning round in the carrier route)
  • Truck outes (e.g. truck route 1 only covers the morning round)
  • Ad pre-print orders (e.g. ad pre-print is delivered by the evening round)

You can select one delivery round as a default round when creating or performing mass generation of delivery rounds.

You can define delivery viability sets for certain weekdays by assigning a home delivery alternation group and element to the delivery round.

The standard system contains the delivery rounds 1 and 2. You can assign them texts that describe their specific uses. If necessary, you can also create further delivery rounds.

To create delivery rounds(keys), please proceed as follows:

  1. Specify an alphanumeric key for the delivery round.
  2. Mark the delivery round as a default round if applicable.
Note: Only one delivery round can be the default round.
  1. Specify a short and long text for each delivery round key.
  2. If applicable, assign a home delivery alternation group and element to the delivery round.
