ISP_IS_BERE_PFLEGEN - Maintain Authorizations

This step provides information on the authorization objects defined in the standard system for the individual functions of the application. You can maintain authorizations for these objects in the SAP System.

The simplest way of maintaining authorizations is using activity groups.
Please note that maintaining authorizations using activity groups is a new function. The previous procedure is still supported and is described further below.
In this step, you can create roles and use the profile generator to generate authorization profiles.
To assign an authorization profile to a user, do the following:
- Create a role
- Enter a description
- Select transactions
- Create and edit authorizations
- Assigns users and compare the user master (in doing so, the profile is entered in the user's master record)
- Transport roles, if desired

Basis
Components → Computing Center Management System → Users and Roles or in the Implementation
Guide (IMG), choose: Basis Components → System Administration → Users and Authorizations → Maintain Authorizations and Profiles using Profile Generator.
Note
You can also use authorization profiles you created manually or were delivered by SAP, in roles. You can create a role without a menu and include the corresponding profile in the authorization data of the role.
In the fourth step, choose "Edit -> Add authorization -> From profile" to add the authorization profile data to the role.
The remainder of this document provides information on the previous procedure up to and including version 4.0.

The standard system contains authorizations for all authorization objects in the application.
The system contains maintenance and display authorizations for the objects.
The standard authorizations apply to all organizational units.
- Check whether the authorizations in the standard delivery meet your requirements.
- To do this, please proceed as follows:
- Choose the object class for the application.
- The system displays a list of the authorization objects it contains.
- Choose an authorization object.
- The system now displays a list of authorizations for this object.
- If necessary, create any new authorizations you need.
- To do this, proceed as follows:
- Choose Authorization -> Create.
- Enter the authorization and a short text.
- Choose a field to maintain the individual field values.
- Save your settings.
- Activate the new authorization.
To transport authorizations, please proceed as follows:
- On the object list screen, choose Authorization -> Transport.
- The system displays a list of the authorizations that can be transported.
- Select the authorizations you want to transport into the productive system.
- Press ENTER to confirm your entry and specify a correction number.
If the technical names of the objects are also displayed in the object list, please proceed as follows:
- Choose an authorization object in the object list.
- The system displays a list of authorizations for the selected object.
- Choose the menu path Authorization -> Transport.
- The system displays a list of authorizations that can be transported.
- Select the authorizations you want to transport to the productive system.
- Press ENTER to confirm your entries and specify a correction number.
