SAP E-Book

In this step, you define the number intervals for the number range for addresses.

Every address is created under a unique key. You can only define an internal number range for key assignment.

When you create an address, the system automatically assigns a sequence number from the internal number range as the key.

The standard setting is "0000000001 to 9999999999".

You must not change the standard setting.

To define a number range, you need to specify a number interval (or several number intervals). To do this, you must proceed as follows:

  1. Specify an alphanumeric key of up to 2 characters for each number interval.
  2. Specify the limits of the number interval (numbers from and to).
The individual number intervals should not overlap. A number can only be used once in each number range.

The use of the number range intervals can be defined in the step Define number range usage in the section 'Basic Settings for the Media Industry'.
