ISSR_MAIN16 - Set Automatic Derivation

In this Customizing activity, you define whether the feeder system (FS) product information ( feeder system product categories, feeder system product types, and capital investment groups) are to be transferred to statutory reporting as identical SR product categories, SR product types, and capital investments groups (when the posting is carried out).

If you activate automatic derivation, the assignment tables (see Customizing activity Define and Assign SR Product Type and SR Product Category)are automatically filled with (new) production information during the position initialization or when flows are migrated. The feeder system data is transferred as SR information.

Note:
Even if you use automatic derivation, we recommend that you at least enter the information for the product type once yourself (Customizing activity Fill New Product Category From TRM-TM). This information is relevant for the Customizing settings for the asset category transfer posting and for the SR master data.

You do not want to implement any product information in statutory reporting that is different from the information in the feeder systems.
