In this Customizing activity you can define the entity type, access class and UI class for your data model.

The access class defines how each entity type reads and writes data in the connected back-end system. SAP delivers predefined access classes for the delivered entity types.

The UI class is optional.

In a standard implementation of ISS for Financials, you may not need to use this Customizing activity. SAP delivers the table Access and UI Class for Entity Type(V_UISSPPACCESS) to facilitate the implementation of the predefined entity types for MDG-based self-services.

Note:If you do make your own entries in this activity (tableV_UISSPPACCESS_C), and you also want to use the predefined entity types (delivered in V_UISSPPACCESS), you need to copy the entries for the standard entity types that you want to use. This is because when you make an entry in the table V_UISSPPACCESS_C, the predefined entries in the table V_UISSPPACCESS are no longer used by the system.

If you implement your own entity types, you need to assign an access and UI handler class in the table Access and UI class for entity type (V_UISSPPACCESS_C).

If you are using a reuse area, as is the case with the standard implementation of Internal Self-Services for Financials, you need to specify the reuse area (IS_PPACCES) in the access class. In this case the access class is CL_UISS_PP_ADAPTER.
