SAP E-Book

In this customizing activity, you can define the standard settings for change requests. A change request is an object that allows you to manage data changes. It contains the objects to be changed as well as comments about the changes. A workflow sends the change request to the various persons involved.

The process model for self-services is based on change requests. These are customized in Customizing for Master Data Governance (MDG). You use the Customizing activities below to model your self-service processing logic.

You need to have implemented SAP Adobe Interactive Forms if you want to implement form based change request processing.

The Customizing activities that are listed below are part of Master Data Governance (MDG) Customizing. You proceed as follows:

In this Customizing activity, you can define the statuses that can be assigned to change requests during processing. You can also define the available processing options (for example if a manager's approval is required) for each status.
In this Customizing activity, you can create business activities. For Internal Self-Services for Financialseach change request type is mapped exactly to a single business activity. These business activities are used to define process types. The active business processes that are assigned to the data model in this activity are defined in the customizing activity, Define Self-Service Systems.
If you are using the standard data model IS, you do not need to make any changes here. The active processes are assigned to the data model IS by default using the predefiend process types. You only need to use this customizing activity if you want to implement your own process types.
SAP recommends that you use the predefined process types delivered with the business function Internal Self-Services for Financials(FIN_SSC_ISS_1) for your implementation. However, if you still want to create your own process types, you need to assign the active processes to your data model here to create a business activity for each change request type. For more information about process types, see Define Self-Service Process Types.
In this Customizing activity, you define the properties that are valid for a change request type. SAP delivers predefined change request types for internal self-services. You can easily identify these because they all begin with the prefix IS.,
You also need to assign a workflow template to the change request type here. SAP delivers the workflow template WS32900043 as part of ISS for Financials. These are assigned to the predefined change request types that are delivered. For more information, see Workflow.
On the Entity Typenode of this Customizing activity, you can specify which entity types can be changed for the selected change request type.
Note: For form-based entity types you need to select the Optional checkbox. You can also use the scenario to define some of the high-level display options for a change request. The assigned scenario controls some UI properties for an entity type. To configure the more detailed aspects of a change request UI, you can use the relevant UI configuration. For more information, see UI Modeling.
On the Business Activitiesnode of this Customizing activity, you can assign the change request type to the business activity.
In this Customizing activity, you define the available priorities (for example low, medium and high) that users can select when creating and/or editing a change request.
In this Customizing activity, you define reasons for rejecting change requests. Once a rejection reason has been defined for a change request type, users must select a reason when they reject a change request of this type.
  • Form based Change Request Processing
In the Customizing activities listed below you can configure the settings for form-based change request processing:

In this Customizing activity, you can edit the scenarios that form the technical basis for change requests that are created from forms.

In this Customizing activity, you can configure the available input help for the ,,forms used to create the form based change requests.

In this Customizing activity, you can customize the display settings for the forms.
In this Customizing activity, you can define your own custom form for printing change requests.
You can use this BAdI to modify the data to be printed as a document in Adobe PDF format on the single entity processing UI and on the change request application UI.
