A number range object is created in the SAP system and contains a defined set of unique character strings. It can be used by business applications to provide database records with unique numbers, to complete the keys of the data records.

These numbers can then be used as Loss Log ID, so is possible to auto generate number for reference through a Number Range object.

To create a number range, follow the necessary steps below:

Using a Number Range

  1. Click "Interval Editing" button.
  2. Inform "Number Range No.", such as 01.
  3. Inform a "From Number" and a "To Number" as needed.
  4. Number Range Status will be fulfilled automatically.
  5. The External is empty.
  6. Save.

When finished, you can look up for this interval on "Display Interval" or glasses + Interval button.
