ISUV_UMC_MSG - Map Messages to Custom Texts

You use this Customizing activity to modify and map standard messages generated by the OData services, for example, business logic related error messages, custom messages, technical errors, and so on, to custom and more user-friendly messages.

The following options are supported:

• Standard message is replaced by a custom message

• Standard message is replaced by several custom messages

• Standard message is not propagated to the OData Service response

• Standard message is replaced by a custom message and some of the message parameters are replaced with custom ones

In case mapping does not exist for a standard message, it is propagated to the OData Service response without changes.

Example 1:

There is a standard message with Message Class R1 and Message Number 086, which has a value Account &1 is currently blocked and another with value Please try later in the Message Text field.

The standard message is replaced by the two custom texts mentioned above.

Example 2:

There is a standard message with Message Class R1 and Message Number 086 with the Don't propagate msgcheckbox checked.

The standard message is not propagated to the UI.

Example 3:

There is a standard message with Message Class R1 and Message Number 086 with a value Associated with your user in the Message Variable field.

The standard message parameter is replaced by the custom text Associated with your user.
