This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Product Integration (IS-U-BI-PI) component. You can use this BAdI to prepare the following installation data to be updated by the ISU_UIL_INST_STRUCT_UPDATE BAdI:

  • Installation facts
  • Register data of the device

This BAdI is used with the ISU_UIL_INST_STRUCT_UPDATE BAdI to avoid using Change Rate Data (transaction EG70) to manually process and then update register data.

You can change the fields that are available in the table structure of the installation. For example, you can change the start and end dates of the installation facts, and these changes will be updated on the installation by way of the ISU_UIL_INST_STRUCT_UPDATE BAdI.

The register data table is delivered empty. You create an entry in this table and then enter values for the rate type and fact group if you want them to be updated. This could be required if, for example, there is a change in the rate type of a register, the change of which would affect the rate determination. If the rate determination is correct for the rate category of the installation, you create an entry and do not enter values for the rate type and the fact group.

For information about the standard settings (filters, single or multiple uses, see the Spot Element Definitions tab in the BAdI Builder (transaction SE18).

This BAdI is delivered with an empty default implementation that you can use to further prepare the installation data that is used with the BAdI: Installation Structure Update. For example, you can add different rate types and fact groups to be used based on the rate category of the utilities product.
