This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Product Integration (IS-U-BI-PI) component. You can use this BAdI to update the following installation data:

  • Installation facts
  • Rate category
  • Register data of the device

You can handle errors and exceptions using the application log or BPEM cases. If the default implementation fails to update any of the data, all updates are rolled back.

To be able to update register data, you must not only implement the ISU_UIL_INST_FACTS_PREP BAdI, the IF_ISU_UIL_INST_FACTS_PREP interface, and the PREPARE_INSTALLATION_FACTS method but also update the CT_REGISTER_DATA table with a new entry for each of the devices for which you want to update the rate type and fact group.

  • ISU_UIL_INST_STRUC_UPDT_IMPL

This BAdI is delivered with a default implementation to update installation data. You can create a new implementation to add additional data checks and different error-handling behaviors. For example, you can handle some errors and exceptions manually instead of rolling back all the updates if any of the data fails to update.
