J_1BTREG_CITYV - Assign Postal Codes to Tax Jurisdiction Codes
BAL_S_LOG - Application Log: Log header data PERFORM Short ReferenceThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
Brazil: Assign a range of postal codes to the tax jurisdiction codes.
Each geographical region can include a number of tax jurisdictions, which, in turn, are defined by its postal codes. In this configuration step, you assign a range of postal codes to a tax jurisdiction code.
You make these settings so that your SAP system can do the following:
- Calculate ISS. To calculate ICMS and SubTrib, the system requires Brazilian tax regions.
- Create NF-e. For example, the tax jurisdiction code is used to derive the region in the NF-e access keys and in the city codes.
You have defined your tax jurisdiction codes in the Define Tax Jurisdiction Codes configuration step.
For each of the tax jurisdiction codes, assign the geographical region, and the beginning and ending postal codes.
You can manually assign a range of postal codes to a tax jurisdiction code or you can upload a file containing several entries. To upload a file, select New Entriesto enable Mass Upload.
If you choose to upload a file containing several entries, consider the following:
- Upload a .CSV file.
- Add a header to your file - the system considers the first row to be a header so, if you don't add a header, your first entry is not considered.
- Separate the objects in each row using a semicolon (;).
- Example: Header: Region;From;To;TaxJurisdictionCode
- ,, Entry 1: AC;69921-000;69921-999;AC 1200807
- ,, Entry 2: AC;69932-000;69933-999;AC 1200104
- Upload files up to 2MB. The time needed for processing and saving data can vary according to your infrastructure conditions.
- Remember you are responsible for the data you upload. SAP only checks if the tax jurisdiction code you enter is registered in the Define Tax Jurisdiction Codesconfiguration step and if the region you enter is valid for the country you have selected.
