In this Customizing activity, you define XML hierarchies and make settings that enable you to create XML-based output files for your financial statements. You can do the following:

• Create hierarchies of XML elements, for example, by importing XSD schemas or XML file structures

• Edit hierarchies of XML elements directly

• Set up selection screens for the user to enter parameters in the generated XML file

• Set up the transfer of data from external sources (that is, data providers)

Once you have defined the required XML hierarchy for a financial statement, you can generate the selection screen and print the XML form. To do this, on the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Accounting -> Financial Accounting -> General Ledger -> Information System -> General Ledger Reports -> Financial Statement / Cash Flow -> Ukraine -> Electronic Reports -> Export XML Hierarchy (transaction J3RXMLEXP).

You have defined data providers for exporting data into your XML hierarchies. You do this in the Define Data Provider for XML Generator Customizing activity.

Define the required XML hierarchies for your financial statements. You can define a new XML hierarchy or edit an existing hierarchy.

To have the system generate a PDF output of the XML hierarchy, assign a print form in the hierarchy characteristics. Note that when you define the data providers, you must enter Boolean global parameter X_ADOBE in the data provider settings.
