This table contains the definition and properties of the transaction categories. The relevant fields are:

·,,The transaction code (2 digit character).

·,,Consumption indicator: denotes that the transaction category will label movements on the right-hand side of the Valuation equation that receive value from the valuation procedure. Transaction categories of that type are freely defined and automatically update table J_1GVL_WHB010 without further ado. MM movements labeled with such a transaction category (see movement types customizing in the next step ) should use the consumption document category ('CO') for post-valuation update.

·,,Sorting indicator: helps bundle together movements of the same transaction category in the WHB printing.

·,,Repost indicator (the 'CO' is irrelevant): denotes that the valuation program will compute variances between SAP and historic cost prices for all movement types labeled with this transaction category.

·,,Logical WHB column: this is the key mapping between valuation and WHB parameters for computing rounding differences in the WHB.

·,,Sign: defines the natural sign of the movements/documents labeled with this transaction category. It has a meaning only when combined with the debit/credit AL account in the Analytical Ledger accounts customizing (see below). Thus, for example, document type WE in purchasing has a natural sign '+' but if in one period we have more returns than receipts the corresponding field (J_1GVL_WHB010-DMBTR) will be negative and then the AL accounts will be posted in the opposite order (credit the 'Debit' account). Similarly, the sales movements (and most consumption-type transaction categories) have a natural '-' sign because they are naturally 'goods issues' and the AL customizing has been set up under that premise (i.e. credit the AL stock account and debit the AL COGS account).
