German construction equipment specifications catalog 1991
Austrian construction equipment specifications catalog 1996

The structure of the German construction equipment specifications catalog 1991 (the catalogs are published every 10 years) is as follows:

No. in catalog: 3151-0100-A1
Template: NNNN-NNNN-XX
Hierachy level: 12 3 4 5

Hierarchy level 1 indicates the main equipment group (for example,
lifting and transport equipment)
Hierarchy level 2 indicates the equipment section (for example,
cranes and accessories)
Hierarchy level 3 indicates the equipment type (for example,
hydraulically driven diesel cranes)
Hierarchy level 4 indicates the size or technical statistics
of the equipment
Hierarchy level 5 indicates any additional equipment or attachments

Check whether the catalogs included in the standard delivery are
adequate for your requirements.
If they are not, define additional ones.

To do this, make sure you enter a catalog code, a description and a publisher for each catalog.

You can create the entry format of the catalog structure you want to
define in this field.

The edit screen (template) determines the following:

  • total length of the number in the catalog
  • the lengths of the individual blocks in the number
  • allowed characters
  • for numbers N

  • for letters A

  • for numbers and letters X

Note: if there are already entries for a catalog, the edit screen should not be changed any more.

You enter the hierarchy levels of the template here. They are displayed in the form of levels. Enter the levels as single characters. You can only use numbers between 0 and 9.

  • Example

For example, the correct numbering of hierarchy levels for a structure
could look like this:
Template: XXX-XX_XXX.X-XXX=X/XX;XXX-XX/X:XX-X/X
Levels: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 1 2 3

Here you enter the hierarchy level that the technical statistics are in.

Please enter class type 600.

Here you can enter the classes that you have already created in the
classification system. Your own classes should be of class type 600.
You must also create characteristics in the classification system
and object dependencies must be maintained in variant configuration.

You can use this indicator to define the price-relevant levels. If you enter levels two and three here for the equipment specifications catalog, pricing takes place on the level of the equipment section and the equipment type.
