KW_SCMSIP - Assign IP Subnets to Locations

In this IMG activity, you assign IP subnets to locations.

Hosts belonging to the IP subnet in question are thereby indirectly assigned to a location.

Subnet templates have the following format: XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX/YY

• XXX determines 8 Bits (1 Byte) of the IP address. Permissible values are 0 to 255.

• YY determines the number of relevant bits that as a prefix of an IP address signifies the subnet to which the IP address belongs. Permissible values are 0 to 32.

1. In the field Net Template,enter a subnet in the following format:
   

/ (for example, 155.56.72.62/16).

Input Help gives more details on the entry format.

1. Using Input Help, choose a location and enter a description of the subnet.
2. Save your entries.
