Define the attributes required for business object integration.

In this configuration activity, the following attributes can be maintained:

  1. Define Identifying Attributes
    1. Maintain an Identifying attribute along with its description
    2. Maintain a valid CDS view source to fetch the Identifying attribute values
    3. Maintain a technical name from the CDS view to map the identifying attribute
    4. Maintain the technical type text name from the CDS view if available
  2. Define Integration Variant
    1. Maintain the integration variant name along with its description
    2. Select the Integration link which is a predefined set of values
    3. Select the Profile against which the context can be created
    4. Check the active flag if the Integration variant adheres to all the rules defined
  3. Map Identifying Attributes to Integration variant.
    1. Select the required mapping variables created earlier against the integration variant along with its description
  4. Map variables to the Integration variant.
    1. If a mapping variable is maintained for the selected Integration variant in the system table as delivered by SAP then the same has to be imported into the custom configuration using the Import button during creation of new entries
    2. The description, Set type and the technical type of the system mapping variables are not editable
    3. Value of the Set type is not mandatory during save but mandatory during the activation of the Integration variant
    4. Custom mapping variables can also be defined along with its description.
    5. Maintain the Set type
    6. If the Set type is Entity or Linked Object then technical type should be maintained
    7. Technical Type is not mandatory during save but mandatory during the activation of the Integration variant
    8. Value of the Set type of the custom mapping variable is also not mandatory during save but mandatory during the activation of the Integration variant
