Define the category qualifiers and scope of the category required to generate dynamic categories using the Generate Categories from Table option in the app Categories.

Use this configuration to maintain the category qualifiers and the scope of the category. You can define the settings for following activities:

  • Define Category Qualifiers – Define the list of unique Category Qualifiers that can be used in the next activity “Define Qualifier Hierarchies” and should be created in the system.
  • Define Qualifier Hierarchies – Define the hierarchy of Category Qualifiers that will automatically create categories for legal document in the system, by running the synchronization report R_LCM_SYNCHRONIZE_CATEGORIES. The defined Qualifier Hierarchies can be used in activity “Define Property for Automatic Classification”.
  • Define Property for Automatic Classification – define the properties for automatic classification of Legal Documents.

  1. Choose the Define Category Qualifiers and create a new unique Category Qualifier and Category Qualifier Name. For creation of hierarchy with several elements, you should create more than one category qualifiers. Note that you cannot delete a category qualifier once it is used in the activity Define Qualifier Hierarchies.
  2. Choose the Define Qualifier Hierarchies and create a new hierarchy or edit an existed hierarchy. For creation of the root category qualifier, you should provide the data in the field Category Qualifier and the field Parent Category Qualifier must be empty. (Note that after choosing Enter, you cannot change this data but only delete and enter the data again). For creation of the parent and node category qualifiers, you should provide a qualifier in the Category Qualifier field. Do note that this qualifier is not defined as a root or parent element (select data from activity “Define Category Qualifiers”) and input in field “Parent Category Qualifier” the Category Qualifier which defined as root or parent element (please see the “Example” section of documentation). The activity has the following restrictions:
    1. Only root category qualifiers can be marked as IsMultiSel.
    2. Only parent or node category qualifiers can be marked as Is Select.
    3. Changes after execution of synchronization report can be raised due to inconsistency data in the system. If the category qualifiers are deleted or marked as obsolete, then after execution of the synchronization report then all node elements and this element will be marked as obsolete in dictionary of categories.
    4. The category qualifier hierarchies cannot be deleted when in use in the activity Property for Automatic Classification.

,,Choose Property for Automatic Classification and create a new property for automatically classifying the legal documents. However, the activity has the following restrictions:

  1. For property types Content type and Integration Variable, the value of the field Property Value must be filled. For property type All documents the field can be left empty without a value.
  2. In the field Category Qualifier, you can enter only the category qualifiers from the activity Define Qualifier Hierarchies, and which have the indicator Is Select. Providing the category qualifiers without this flag are not restricted.

You want to create the following hierarchy:

The data in activity the Define Category Qualifiers:

  • Category Qualifier = “Root”, Category Qualifier Name = “Root category”
  • Category Qualifier = “Parent1”, Category Qualifier Name = “Parent 1 category”
  • Category Qualifier = “Node1”, Category Qualifier Name = “Node 1 category”
  • Category Qualifier = “Node2”, Category Qualifier Name = “Node 2 category”
  • Category Qualifier = “Parent2”, Category Qualifier Name = “Parent 2 category”
  • Category Qualifier = “Node3”, Category Qualifier Name = “Node 3 category”

The data in the activity Define Qualifier Hierarchies:

  • Category Qualifier = “Root”, Parent Category Qualifier = “”
  • Category Qualifier = “Parent1”, Parent Category Qualifier = “Root”
  • Category Qualifier = “Node1”, Parent Category Qualifier = “Parent1”
  • Category Qualifier = “Node2”, Parent Category Qualifier = “Parent1”
  • Category Qualifier = “Parent2”, Parent Category Qualifier = “Root”
  • Category Qualifier = “Node3”, Parent Category Qualifier = “Parent2”
