Application components: LE-WM, LE-WM-TFM

You can use the BAdI LE_WM_LATER_DN to individually define in the Warehouse Management system (WMS), under which circumstances you want to update an outbound delivery with the confirmation data of transfer order (TO) at a later time.

During TO creation, the system determines whether delayed delivery update has been defined in the Customizing for Warehouse Management under Interfaces → Shipping → Define Shipping Control → Shipping Control per Warehouse Number.

If delayed delivery update is not activated for the warehouse number, you cannot activate it using this BAdI.

If delayed delivery update is defined for the warehouse number, you can redefine the point in time at which the system is to update the outbound delivery:

  • The system transfers the confirmation data to the outbound delivery as soon as all of the items of a TO have been confirmed.
  • The system transfers the confirmation data to the outbound delivery as soon as all of the TOs that were created for one outbound delivery have been confirmed.
This type of update is not designed for TOs for multiple deliveries. Make sure for TOs for multiple deliveries that the system transfers the confirmation data to the outbound delivery as soon as all of the items of this TO have been confirmed.
  • The system transfers the confirmation data to the source outbound delivery every time a TO item is confirmed.
This setting is only useful if you work with TOs for multiple deliveries.
  • The system immediately transfers the confirmation data to the source outbound delivery every time you confirm a TO item.
This setting deactivates delayed delivery update. This setting is not permitted for a TO for multiple deliveries.

If you use the method LATER_DN_CHANGE, the indicator Update of Outbound Delivery (LTAK_LATER) is set in the transfer order header during TO creation.

During confirmation, you can determine using method LATER_DN_PASSD whether the delivery is updated automatically.

Note
Note that when a transfer order is cancelled, the system updates the delivery automatically.

You have activated late delivery update in the Customizing for Warehouse Management under Interfaces -> Shipping -> Define Shipping Control -> Shipping Control per Warehouse Number.

The Business Add-In is not active in the standard system.

The Business Add-In is not filter dependent.

The Business Add-In is cannot be used multiple times.

To activate the Business Add-In, you must create an active implementation. To do this, go to the Customizing for Warehouse Management, and choose System Modifications → Business Add-Ins in Warehouse Management.

You have activated delayed update of the outbound delivery at warehouse number level. Using this BAdI, you define whether the system should nevertheless update an outbound delivery with the confirmation data immediately for certain customers, recipients, or for a certain type of delivery. The current data for the selected outbound deliveries is available as quickly as possible.
