In this Customizing activity, you define account references for bank deposits, which can be used, for example, to group banks together. You can then use the deposit account reference in the Customizing activity Define Postings for Bank Deposits to define the parameters for posting bank deposits that are required to create accounting documents and to post documents.
In a mobile scenario, deposit account references are downloaded to the mobile devices of delivery drivers and van sellers. During route execution, when bank deposit information is captured on these mobile devices, the delivery driver or van seller can select a deposit account reference.
